A/C Service Tips for 2002-2015 Honda CR-V
2002-2015 Honda CR-Vs can often be a source of frustration for repairers if not worked on properly. These vehicles are equipped with a scroll compressor. Scroll compressors are known to under perform at low RPMs and do not tolerate excess debris well. Every time a compressor fails, the entire air conditioning system will be affected. Excess debris will get trapped in the condenser, suction and discharge lines. When the compressor is replaced, it is highly recommended to properly flush the system and replace the condenser and hoses. Otherwise, debris blockages will cause high pressure and destroy the new compressor.

- Flush system completely (Remember, the condenser cannot be flushed)
- Replace the condenser (Refer to Tech Tip #1 for further explanation)
- Replace the suction and discharge lines
- Replace expansion valve
- Replace all seals and o-rings
