Turbocharger 2511469 & Oil Feed Line 2541276
When installing a new turbo unit on 2013-2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport/Sonata and Kia Optima/Sportage 2.0 L4 engine models, gpd highly recommends replacing the oil feed line.
These models are known for burning oil, a buildup of carbon inside the oil feed line, or lack of oil, will damage the turbocharger with lack of lubrication. In most cases, flushing is ineffective for this type of restriction. Thus, the oil feed line should be replaced to ensure necessary oil flow and lubrication of the turbo unit. As lack of lubrication is detrimental to turbo performance, failure to replace the oil feed line in this scenario can cause various turbo failures. It should also be noted that turbo failure due to restricted oil feed line is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.
