White Dust Blowing from Air Vents?
During production, the evaporator is coated with a protective laminate that can wear off over time. If a solid white powder/dust is blowing through the A/C vents into the passenger cabin, it is most likely residue from this laminate blown by the blower motor. It can also be an excess of flux used in the manufacturing process. This is not be confused with a white colored cold mist that can be blown into the cabin by a frozen evaporator.
We recommend consulting an expert to assess the A/C system and decide if the evaporator needs to be replaced. While it is most likely laminate residue, there is a chance the source is debris or chemicals from another component.
