R4 Scroll Compressors

The R4 compressor was a staple for GM A/C systems up to the mid 90s. There are still a few R4 style compressors on the market today. Even though the R4 style was very robust, it was known to leak around the seam. gpd has designed a scroll replacement for the R4 style compressor with the intention of being more efficient and quieter. gpd’s R4 scroll compressor is not faced with the same issues as the earlier model described above.
