gpd Improved Design: Liquid Hose Lines
In the automotive air conditioning system, the liquid hose line is located on the high side of the system and carries a lot of pressure from the condenser to the orifice tube or expansion valve. The liquid hose line usually runs from the front of the vehicle to the back of the engine bay or firewall. Liquid hose lines are typically made of aluminum and are designed with a lot of bends depending on the application. To improve durability, gpd has designed liquid hose lines made of steel for some applications. For the applications listed in this Tech Tip, gpd’s steel design is a more durable and reliable replacement option than its aluminum counterpart.
