The piston replacement compressor is a direct bolt-off, bolt-on replacement for the OE scroll style design. gpd’s piston design is more tolerable of debris left in the A/C system and performs better at lower RPMs than the OE scroll design. Regardless of which compressor is used, gpd highly recommends flushing the system and replacing the condenser.
